Players

  • Teams will have 5 people on their team. We will not play with a goalie.
  • Players must wear shin guards and socks.
  • Sole sneakers are required.

Format

  • We have 1.5 hours together. We will have a 5 minute warm up. There will not be a halftime break since teams will have breaks throughout the night.
  • We will play around 8 games rotating who is on and off the court. We will have 4 teams max.
  • Teams will play 10 minute games or stop once a team scores 2 goals.
  • The team that wins will stay on the court and another team will rotate in. If no one scored, both teams rotate off and the other teams will come on.
  • If a team wins 2 times, they automatically will rotate off the court after the 2nd win.

Other rules

  • There are no offsides in futsal
  • Kick-ins replace throw-ins
  • Goalkeepers restart play by distributing the ball with their hands
  • Not allowed:
  • Slide tackling, shoulder charging, and checking players into the walls.
  • Handling, holding, jumping, kicking, pushing, striking, and tripping.
  • Playing in a dangerous manner, intentional obstruction, and unsportsmanlike conduct are not allowed and may result in being asked to take a break by rotating off or being asked to leave.
