Spring is Here: Your Guide to RecLeaguer's Upcoming Events
May is finally here, and the Twin Cities are waking up. That means outdoor sports are back, and RecLeaguer has a full slate of spring events ready for you. Whether you're a softball veteran, a soccer newbie, or someone who just wants to get off the couch and play, we've got something for you.
Softball is Back in a Big Way
This is the big one. Spring Softball is kicking off across the metro, and there are two seasons to choose from depending on what works for your schedule.
Tuesday nights bring softball to Richfield. The 8-week season runs May 5 through June 23 at Taft Park, with games starting at 6:15pm. This one's popular, so there are currently sub spots available (no full roster needed). It's $78 for the season.
Prefer Thursday nights? Head to Mounds View for a similar setup at Silver View Park. Games run May 7 through June 25, also 6:15pm start time (wrapping up around 8:15pm). This one has room, with 41 of 56 spots filled. Also $78.
Both leagues are open to all skill levels. You don't need a team or experience. Show up solo, get placed on a balanced squad, and play ball.
Soccer Heads Back Outdoors
If softball's not your speed, Spring Soccer is here. There's a 4-week warm-up session starting Monday, May 4 at Hidden Oaks Park in New Brighton (6:30pm - 8:00pm). It's a casual way to shake off the indoor rust before the regular season ramps up. $40 to play.
We're also running a Tuesday night league starting May 12 at North End Community Center in Saint Paul. Games run 7:00pm - 8:30pm through June 16. This is a great option if you prefer midweek play.
Adult PE is Still Going Strong
If you want something different from traditional team sports, don't sleep on Spring Adult PE. This isn't your grade-school gym class, but it has the same fun energy. The Edina season runs Sundays, April 12 through May 17 (1:00pm - 3:00pm). You'll play a mix of games like dodgeball, capture the flag, and other gym favorites. It's $63 and perfect if you want to move your body without the pressure of competitive scoring.
Why This Season Matters
Spring in Minnesota is short. By July, the heat will be here. By October, it'll be gone. These next six months are your window to get outside, stay active, and meet people who are just as excited to play as you are. That's the whole point of RecLeaguer.
All of these events are open to anyone 19+, all skill levels welcome. You don't need to find a team or convince nine friends to join. Register as an individual player, pick the event that fits your schedule, and we'll handle the rest.
Ready to join? Head over to browse our upcoming events to sign up or learn more. Spring doesn't last long in Minnesota, so don't wait.
One More Thing
